Maple Oatmeal Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
Soak oatmeal in warm water for 5 min. scald milk and add to mixture. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast, margarine, salt, sugar and maple syrup to oatmeal mixture. Stir in about 3 cups flour. Put on floured board. Knead 8-10 minutes or until no longer sticky. Put in greased bowl, cover and let rise until double about 1 Yj hrs. Punch down, Shape into 2 loaves. Place in greased loaf pans. Coveer and let rise until doubled in size. Bake at 350 30 - 35 min. Loaves should sound hollow when tapped. Remove from pans and cool on wire racks.
