First year in the New Sugarhouse, we poured the floor in the middle of November 2010, and then built the Sugarhouse in January of 2011. All rough cut lumber was bought from a local saw mill in Starksboro, and some used roofing from Bridport. Bryan was the lead carpenter, while Paul helped out a lot with the roofing and rafters. My brother in law Doug donated all his labor for wiring up the "shack". We had just replaced our windows in our house, and kept the old ones, just for this. My father in law, Terry donated his John Deere tractor for the site clearing, and hauled several loads of stone fill in. The tractor also came in handy to dig the Underground power in, with the help of Paul and Matt- which gets me thinking, Did I do anything besides provide beer and food? (which actually my lovely wife did)
